Screen Door Pinot Noir
By Screen Door
Around here our winemakers like to jokingly say that ‘if you don‘t like it in your nose you won‘t like it in your mouth.’ Luckily, this Russian River Valley Screen Door Pinot Noir passes both tests.
Starting on the nose, you‘ll be greeted with inviting aromatics of cranberry, pomegranate, black cherry, white and black pepper and subtle black licorice notes along hints of dark plum.
Expect a silky smooth tannin mouthfeel with notes of plum and jammy strawberry and a nice balance of acidity on the finish, making this a versatile pairing partner.
- Region: 100% AVA Russian River Valley, Calif. USA
- Year: 2022
- Barrel Aging: 45% Aged 11 months in French Oak, 55% Aged 11 months in Neutral French Oak
- Alcohol by Volume: 14.5%
- PH: 3.75
- Tasting Notes: Densely concentrated, with inviting aromatics of cranberry, pomegranate, black cherry, white and black pepper and subtle black licorice notes along hints of dark plum. The mouthfeel is vibrant with balanced acidity and a long finish. Layered flavors of cherry cola, notes of black licorice, and ripe fresh cherries. This sumptuous wine is a delightful expression of cool-climate Pinot Noir.
